It's a wonder why pigs were chosen to lure people into throwing their diet aspirations out the window and sinking their teeth into dough because cats in a blanket sound a heck of a lot testier. Cats and blankets are a purrfect pairing. Cats like to cuddle, a blanket likes to cuddle others, and there you have it. This romance between covers and cats is even more serious in wintertime. Like us, domestic cats don't appreciate frosty paws, but they do appreciate linen sheets. Or flannel. Or jersey - they're not that picky.

We would love to state here that we don't approve of our over-indulged felines hopping on our beds, but who are we kidding - we love it! It's the best part of having a cat in winter, cuddling him under the covers to the sound of rain falling outside, scrolling through recipes we'll never make - because let's face it, we'll probably perish right here as it is so nice.

How wonderful winter would be if we could all decide to play hooky once in a while and stay contemplating in bed on cold days? Why aren't there cold days, like sick days? Most of the time, they would intertwine anyway.

Someone should research the effect covers have on snacks. Why do they always taste better when we're cuddled? Is it because our meownching needs arise in cold weather? Is it because the blanket covers the crumbs of our shame? Anyway, marketing directors should market snacks and blankets in a bundle for winter, that's money on the floor right there.
